CITY COUNCIL CONSIDERATION ITEMS: - Consideration - of Resolution No. 14-62 calling an election on November 4, 2014 on a proposed ballot measure seeking voter approval of an ordinance amending Concord Municipal Code Title 3 (Revenue and Finance) Chapter 3.15 (Taxation), Article V (Transactions and Use Tax) by extending an existing voter-approved transactions and use tax to be administered by the State Board of Equalization, establishing the policies and procedures for such an election, and requesting that Contra Costa County conduct such election. Resolution No. 14-62 for adoption. Report by City Manager Valerie Barone.
Staff Recommendation: Hear the report, take public testimony, and adopt Resolution No. 14-62 calling an election for November 4, 2014.
Consideration – of font size for the printing of the Candidate Statement in the Voter Information Pamphlet. Report by Deputy City Clerk Joelle Fockler.
Staff Recommendation: Hear the report, take public testimony, and provide direction to staff on which size font to direct Contra Costa County to use for City of Concord City Council and City Treasurer Candidate Statements.
