5. CITY COUNCIL CONSENT CALENDAR » - a. Considering - approval of the minutes from the meeting of January 9, 2018. Recommended by the City Clerk. b. Confirming - appointment made by the Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Commission of two youth members to the Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Commission. Recommended by the Director of Parks and Recreation. c. Considering - award of a construction contract in the amount of $365,873.05 to Spencon Construction of Danville for the Citywide Accessibility Improvements No.4, Project No. 2376; authorizing staff to utilize the available project contingency for contract change orders up to 9 percent of the contract amount; and authorizing the Mayor to execute the contract in a form acceptable to the City Attorney. (Community Development Block Grant, Measure J Funds) Recommended by the Director of Community and Economic Development.
The project qualifies for a Categorical Exclusion pursuant to National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA) Section 24 CFR 58.35(a)(2) and a Categorical Exemption pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines Sections 15301 – Existing Facilities and 15302 – Replacement or Reconstruction.
